uPcoming Events at first presbyterian fargo
Autumn is an exciting time at FPC-Fargo. Check out all of our wonderful opportunities.

Mark your calendars and prepare your plaid! Our Kirkin’ O’ The Tartans services will be at 9am and 11am on November 2nd. All of the traditional elements will be included, from pipers to Celtic dancers! Don’t forget to bring your piece of Tartan Plaid with you (with name taped or pinned to the back) to the service so that you can participate in the traditional “Calling of the Clans.”

During worship on Sunday, November 10, we will name and recognize those church members who have died this past year. There will be an opportunity during the service for family members to come forward to the chancel area to light a candle in remembrance of loved ones. All are invited to participate in this meaningful time to remember either recent losses or saints who have gone before us.

Pastor Mary will lead a two-part class on “Praying our Goodbyes” as she approaches retirement. This class will explore the significance of goodbyes throughout life, emphasizing God's presence during these transitions. Classes will be held on Thursdays, November 13 and 20, from 6:00-7:30 PM. Sponsored by the Pilgrimage Program, all are welcome.

Centering Prayer has begun again, and will meet weekly on Thursdays from 12:15-12:50pm in the Jennie Roberts Room. Join the group for a time of silent prayer followed by a brief devotion. Come and find a moment of stillness in your day.
Co-sponsored by The Presentation Prayer Center and The Pilgrimage at FPC.

The next Taizé evening prayer service will be at 5:30pm on Thursday, November 6, in the Jennie Roberts Room. This special, meditative service, rooted in scripture, singing, and prayerful silence, is sponsored by the Presentation Prayer Center, who hold their own Taizé prayer service at Riverview Place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, also at 6:30pm.

First Presbyterian Church of Fargo invites you to join us for a luncheon celebrating Pastor Mary as she retires after 33 years of faithful service. The celebration runs from November 23 to December 28, 2025. Even if you cannot attend the lunch, come any Sunday to congratulate Mary.
