uPcoming Events at first presbyterian fargo

Summer is an exciting time at FPC-Fargo. Check out all of our wonderful opportunities.

We will be holding another Church & Community picnic tonight at 4:00pm in the courtyard, with seating available outdoors and inside. Join us for sloppy joes, hot dogs, chips, beans, watermelon, root beer and ice cream! Sponsored by the Deacons.
Please be sure to register your child for Sunday School and the music ensembles, as the first fall rehearsal is right around the corner, and Sunday school starts Sept. 21! The registration form is available here, and in-person sign up available on Rally Sunday, Sept. 14. Information regarding children & youth education is available on our website under Children, Youth, and Music Ministries.
Please prayerfully consider your role in Sunday School this year. Are you ready to be a caring adult leader in a classroom? When you volunteer to teach on Sundays, you are giving more than a 45-minute Bible lesson, you are literally showing our children how to care for others and what it truly means to share your time and talents. Leading in a classroom can have a lasting impact on your faith as well. Kids have an amazing way of showing us a new view on the world and community around us. No experience required; please reach out to Carrie Lawrence with any questions. If you are unable to accept the call to lead, please watch for any donation needs this year, special event volunteering, or regularly pray for the children and families of our congregation.
Centering Prayer has begun again, and will meet weekly on Thursdays from 12:15-12:50pm in the Jennie Roberts Room. Join the group for a time of silent prayer followed by a brief devotion. Come and find a moment of stillness in your day.
Co-sponsored by The Presentation Prayer Center and The Pilgrimage at FPC.
Taizé evening prayer returns again at FPC on Thursday, September 4, in our Sanctuary. We will hold Taizé services on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm. This special, meditative service rooted in scripture, singing, and prayerful silence, is sponsored by the Presentation Prayer Center, who hold their own Taizé prayer service at Riverview Place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, also at 6:30pm.
Heart-n-Soul's Community Café returned to FPC on September 10, and there are many other opportunities to participate with this wonderful organization until they return October 8. You won't want to miss out on these great meals! Check out Heart-n-Soul's Facebook page for dates, times, and locations where you can visit the H-n-S food truck in the FM area. Young and old, rain or shine, come and be a part of the fun.
